AUTUMN / WINTER GOALS

September 27, 2017

When it comes to setting goals,I'm a bit rubbish.I tend to set goals only at the beginning of the year (ya know that 20-- resolutions thing !), I came to the conclusion that big goals for the beginning of the year are great but along side with small little ones throughout the year would be Perfect.

And to start making this into a habit,I'm going to start softly with seasonal goals instead of taking it directly to the next level with weekly goals,I mean this would be amazing but better small steps than nothing, right?

I want to talk to you about something quiet personal about the subject, and my intention here is to share my experience with you so possibly you can learn something from it (and it's a note to myself at the same time).a long time ago, I sat myself a VV big goal ,worked hard and did my best to achieve it, after nine years I was shocked by realising everything I did wasn't enough to lead me towards my goal.Since then,I became so anxious about setting goals or even dreaming,I'm still in the process of letting go of this fear but it was really hard to fix new goals afterwards.it may sound like an exaggeration for some of you but believe me it wasn't easy for me.Now if I learnt something from this experience,it would be : if it is meant to happen,it will happen,if not,you go beyond it and look for something else, do not always attach to one thing (one goal), it may not be the right thing for you and maybe you will find your happiness elsewhere,I mean life is a chain of achievements, disappointments, failures and successes,it has its ups and downs and you probably will not have everything you want. I don't say don't set goals but a goal achieved or not is not what will define your whole life.

Well, enough rambling and here are my Autumn/Winter goals :

1- Blog more : blogging makes me feel better, makes me inspired, motivated and get me in a good mood in general,I love sharing and interacting with people from around the world ,and basically I enjoy the processs of blogging from generating ideas to hitting Publish. So I'm planning to do more of it and hopefully in a constant way.

2- Be organized : I'm not the most unorganized person on earth but I'm not the most organized one either,I want to up my organization game and make the most of my time, with that said,I will try and stick to planning the week ahead on a Sunday evening, make lists, schedule blog posts....It's time to use those never used notebooks!

3- Find an internship : this is my N° 1 goal.I have to get an internship since I've been graduated for a long time now,and I didn't do one,so I think it's time. It's not the easiest thing here to get one but I'll do my best and fingers crossed I'll do one soon.

4- sleep earlier : this is the hard one to achieve I think hhh,I have something with sleep troubles these last four years,I tried everything from drinking herbal teas, reading,no electronics before bed..... but nothing seems to work,I have insomnias 5 days/week.but I have to figure out how to solve this.if you have any tips other than what I already listed please hit me up!

these are my goals for Fall ,they are maybe small for some of you but this is my aim here,to break down my big resolutions into little goals.Let me know what are your goals? in the comment section, and you can follow me on Bloglovin' to stay up to date with theblog, thank you for reading,I'll talk to you in the next post.

  6. I think you've got the right idea about setting goals throughout the year instead of making them all at once, especially during New Year's! I'm the worst at setting goals and not doing them. You've inspired me to do them in small increments! Great post!

  7. These are the right goals for you right now! It's good to go a little slow. Perhaps you should also try reading a book. It usually relaxes me a lot! You should try it too! Other than that, this was a lovely post! :D

  9. You've got some great goals here! I also struggle with the sleeping thing a lot. One suggestion that was made to me, that seems to help, is to set your phone alarm about an hour before you plan on going to bed. When it goes off that means its time to start winding down - no screen time, nothing that will get the adrenaline pumping, just make a point of relaxing. For example, curl up with an herbal tea and a good book. It helps your brain to calm down which promotes sleep.
